I am the eldest Grandchild of Richard Barnard Meech, who lived at the Mill house and Upwey house until his death.
If you want to knoiw any history / stories about Wabey, BH Meech and Sons, etc. please let me know: I more than happy to help you with information if I can. My mother was Pam Meech, who loves in the Woodford Valley now. She grew up in Upwey Mill House.

On Google Earth I discovered your pictures of Langton Herring, where my late sister used to live - in fact it was in West Cottage, attached to East Cottage and individually photgraphed.
Would it be possible to get c copy of the photo?

Please email me & let me know... Many thanks.

I still have,in one of my sketchbooks,a waterclour of a stone built cottage I did in 1950,and I wonder if the cottage still exists. It stood on a steep hill, had a thetched roof and an iron water pump outside the door. It was actually a terrace of cottages which lead up to the church which is seen in the background of my sketch.Anyone interested?

When I was young I always visited the maypole next to Poxwell manor, on our visits to Dorset we always stop and look at it with great affection. Even our son has played on this. After 50 years its great to see its still in tact.
